As an Industrial IT Engineer, you will join our Smart Industrial Solutions service line, where we are integrating smart automation and process engineering, we drive manufacturing excellence, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure eco-friendly operations. 

 

Responsibilities

What is your role? 

Consulting: You will be part of a journey where you will have two impacts: a client impact and an internal impact. For the internal impact, based on your skills and time, you will be joining our internal  Digital Core Team at CBTW, to share knowledge and best practices. For the client impact, tasks can vary depending on the client and the project, but as an Industrial IT Engineer, you will mainly: 

  • Client Impact: Your tasks will vary depending on client needs and project goals. As an Industrial IT Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and solutions that support smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including automation and IoT integrations.
  • Developing and managing secure and scalable network architectures tailored to industrial environments, ensuring reliable connectivity between devices and systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate IT and OT systems, facilitating seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in industrial IT systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks, to minimize downtime and boost production efficiency.
  • Implementing cybersecurity measures to protect industrial networks and systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Supporting the deployment and maintenance of software applications for production monitoring, process control, and data analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations through Computer System Validation (CSV) initiatives, which involve developing and executing validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), conducting risk assessments, and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Providing training and technical support to plant personnel, empowering teams to maximize the use of IT systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Internal Impact: We encourage every consultant to proactively share their ideas for internal projects with the Digital Core Team. Whether it’s innovating on methodologies, enhancing tools, or developing best practices, your contributions will shape our collective knowledge and capabilities.

Qualifications

What is your profile?

You: 

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have experience in IT engineering within manufacturing or industrial environments, particularly in Industry 4.0 and automation technologies.
  • Have expertise in industrial automation and systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT).
  • Are proficient in IT networking and cybersecurity, with experience in designing and managing industrial networks.
  • Have solid programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or C++) and/or experience in database management and system integration.
  • Are fluent in French or Dutch and have proficiency in English.Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing innovative solutions in industrial settings.
