As a Project Engineer, you will join our Smart Industrial Solutions service line, where we are integrating smart automation and process engineering, we drive manufacturing excellence, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure eco-friendly operations. 

Responsibilities

What is your role?

You will be part of a journey where you will have two impacts: a client impact and an internal impact. For the internal impact, based on your skills and time, you will be joining our internal Digital Manufacturing community at CBTW, to share knowledge and best practices. For the client impact, tasks can vary depending on the client and the project, but as a Project Engineer, you will mainly: 

  • Client Impact: You will be responsible for:
    • Designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Conducting feasibility studies, preparing technical specifications, and participating in cost estimations to support project proposals.
    • Coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate engineering, design, and operational requirements.
    • Monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards are met, and troubleshooting issues during execution phases.
    • Supporting equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring smooth handover to clients.
    • Preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders.
    • Applying industry best practices to drive innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
  • Internal Impact: Collaborate with internal teams to develop new methodologies, share best practices, and enhance our collective technical knowledge base.

Qualifications

What is your profile?

You: 

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have experience managing technical aspects of engineering projects, particularly in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
  • Are proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and/or project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Possess a strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.
  • Are an excellent communicator, able to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are native in French or Dutch, with proficiency in English.
